Elizabeth loves painting the ordinary in life whether it is people shopping, a pile of rubbish or a poster plastered on a shop front. The urban environment inspires her, she is fascinated by people, what are they thinking? How are they feeling? By painting people going about their business, she celebrates that snapshot of time, making the viewer stop to think about how the small things in life can be interesting. Psychogeography, history repeats itself; every inch of a city have been inhabited by many people over hundreds of years, how does that reflect on the place now? Elizabeth like to think of herself as a modern-day William Hogarth observing her world and painting it.
